Welcome to the EdenEarth web site!

EdenEarth News

We are beginning the process of becoming a non-profit organization that will develop new affordable, sustainable building techniques and promote Earth friendly, natural living.

EdenShelter
will be the first project and the first challenge.

EdenShelter is a low-cost, energy-efficient, earth-sheltered housing concept. It will be constructed of sustainable materials and is intended for areas that are not suitable for farming. The goal is to use only appropriate technology (no more, no less) for design and use mainly on-site natural materials and recycled products as building materials. The ideal solution would be energy independent and self-contained.

If EdenShelter practices were to become widespread, we would not be dependent on foreign oil or have the problems associated with the electrical grid, power plants, transmission lines, etc. Energy wasted on harvesting, mining, manufacturing and transporting building materials could be used for other things (or not at all).

Other advantages to this type of architecture are:

Affordability
Sustainability
Energy Efficiency
Low Maintenance
Storm Safety
Low Noise (Quiet)
Fire Safety
Low-cost Operation
Low Environmental Impact
and much more.

Overall, we think this approach has serious potential to change the way our culture views energy and housing in the future. We are looking for partners and patrons who would like to see this dream come to life. Contact us if you would like to help.
